With the conception of introducing the aspect of data visualization to university students, Knack Nation held the country’s first ever data visualization competition IPDC presents ‘Slide Fiesta 2017’ on 29th October, 2017. Subsequently, the outlying ambition of Knack Nation was to stimulate skill development of youths in presenting data through various software and application. The competition was garnered with the presence of the then Dean of Faculty of Business Studies, Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam as the chief guest and the Chairman of Department of Finance, Professor Md. Kismatul Ahsan as the special guest. Data visualization being a very popular concept is still a booming notion and Knack Nation stepped its foot forward in contributing to the development of corporate sector of Bangladesh. The intra-university competition composed of three rounds were addressed as “Infograph It!”, “Bolt from the Blue”, “The Ultimate Visualizer” respectively. Participant teams were given particular context matter for which they had to prepare infographs by using any application or software. The qualified teams from the first round were given tasks on prompt basis in the instant second round. And in the grand finale teams had to present a company’s annual report answering through any software or application by using their inventive skills.
